August 2026 AMA Indy Success Group: AI Tools & Workflows, Publication Formats, Project Tracking & More

By: Jaymie Shook, Immediate Past President, AMA Indy

One of the fun parts of being the Immediate Past President of AMA Indy is that I can focus on projects I’m excited about, and one of those is the new AMA Indy Success Group. This live, virtual, monthly meeting opens the door to participation for members not only outside the greater Indianapolis area but also any members who have trouble fitting in-person events into their schedules. All members are welcome, and I hope to see you at the next session.

About the Group

The group is a roundtable for members to share recent successes, challenges, and ideas, based on a Marketing Success Group I created 2.5 years ago in my professional capacity with Wheaton World Wide Moving | Bekins Van Lines. In my role as Director of Marketing Communications, I equip the small businesses within our moving company network with the marketing tools they need to succeed in their local areas as well as generating interstate leads for them through the van line websites. This virtual roundtable has proven popular for the people in those businesses who touch the marketing function to learn from each other’s trials and errors.

Discussion Summary

The meeting was an AMA Indy Members-Only peer networking session focused on sharing successes, challenges, and advice among marketing professionals.

Participants celebrated each other's wins, reinforcing the value of peer recognition in the group. Colan Blackwood-Holmes is seeing better tracking of international ad campaign ROI since last month, when he shared that he’d completed a privacy policy and cookies consent form, and Rachel Daeger was excited to tell the group she’s had a client’s tradeshow exhibit hall nearly sold out after only four weeks of promotion. Andi Robinson highlighted some recent client projects she’s won, and Justin Rife shared a little about onboarding with his new company, Numerator. Jaymie Shook celebrated an AMA Indy win with her creation of a new cross-organization leaders’ group to facilitate collaboration and co-sponsored events across Indianapolis marketing and communications organizations, including Indy Ad Connect, Indy Marketers, PRSA and more.

Key topics of the discussion included AI tools and workflows, digital publication formats, HubSpot project tracking, and meeting note-taking solutions. Since we had time at the end, one of the participants asked about AMA Indy chapter initiatives, which Jaymie was happy to provide, including an update on the 2026 AMA Indy MARCON (October 1st) speaker lineup and sponsorship opportunities.

Participants expressed strong interest in a potential Slack channel for the AMA Indy chapter to foster ongoing community engagement.
